Pothos
Like a thriving vine, Pothos is knit up, down, and all around! The pattern begins with one half of the waistband that’s knit from side to side. Stitches are picked up from the narrow cast-on edge to add the second half worked in the opposite direction. The body is then picked up from the long edge of the band and knit up with shaping added to the reverse stockinette panels between lace panels. The body is divided when stitches are bound off for the underarms, and the fronts and back are knit up to be joined at the shoulders with a 3-needle BO. With the body completed, stitches are picked up around the armholes and knit down with short-row shaping. The cardigan’s multidirectional construction is completed with an applied i-cord button band.
