This is a really good project for using up those small balls of yarn. I stuffed them with marbles and use them for weights for patterns and other projects.

Instructions are for bags made with 2 strands of Knitting Worsted on No. 8 needles. Bag Measures 3” x 4”.

Cast on 22 sts. Double Knitting--Row 1: K 1, yarn in front, sl 1 as to p, yarn in back; rep from across. Rep this row untll piece measures 3”. Remove needle from sts to separate knitting. Place the sts of each side back on 2 needles Fill opening with potpourri.

To Close: K tog the first st on each needle, * k tog the next 2 sts (1 st from each needle), bind off loosely the preceding st; rep from * across. Weave in end of yarn. Double knitting is worked on an even number of sts.
