Power Brioche Headband
Thick, soft wool in a fantastic color palette and brioche knitting back and forth.
This pattern is also published for free due to its very simple construction. The headband is knitted in exactly the same way as the scarf in the same series, but with far fewer stitches and a completely different length. I recommend doing the cast on as an open cast on and then weaving together the stitches with the end using Kitchener stitch in regular ribbing. The video I made for this headband shows all the techniques used. If you weave the stitches together with a twist, you get either a nice joining in the front or a practical narrowing in the neck. If you choose to cast on using a long tail cast on and sew together, the stitching at the end there will be a more defined edge.
Very important pattern information - this pattern is not written by a big business or a professional writer. It is written with my own words driven by a passion for knitting, crafting and writing. If you have any questions, please just ask. I check my messages and emails several times every week.
Techniques used in the pattern:
- Provisional cast on with scrap yarn
- Set up row brioche stitch
- Brioche stitch back and forth
- Weaving together two parts using Kitchener stitch in regular ribbing
The Power Brioche scarf is the same but bigger.
My free patterns are published for knitters to get to know my patterns, and my way of writing them. My free patterns are written the same way as my paid for patterns.
