This is a fun hat to make and wear. It’s a great way to practice using two colors of yarn.

It basically involves:

Ribbing: (knit 2, purl 2 repeats).
Working with two colors: (four stitches of dark color, then four stitches of light color repeats).
Edging - created by knitting one row of alternating colors, followed by purling two rows with alternating colors.
Decreasing - knitting together two stitches at specified times.

This hat is made to fit a head, size 22” to 24’’ in circumference.
Gauge is 4 stitches per inch. By using a smaller or larger size needle you can create a smaller or larger hat.

Materials needed: Two skeins of I Love This Yarn, worsted weight, 355 yards per package, (available at Hobby Lobby); one skein of dark yarn, one skein of light yarn (of any colors you choose).
