This hat was designed to be practical for working. Worked with Red Hearts reflective yarn it is high visibility and easy wash. You can work in whatever yarn you like but i suggest a wool blend or acrylic. If you use the Red Heart reflective your hat will be useable as personal safety gear on work sites (don’t forget your hard hat).

The ear section is doubled for extra warmth and the top section is left single thick for breathability.

Directions are given for a size 22.5” head, but I will give instructions on how to custom fit for bigger or smaller.

Bulky weight yarn. 80-100 yards.
Size 11 16” circular needles and dpns.
Gauge: 5 stitches =2 inches
