Practically Pairfect Socks
Just like a 2,4,6,8 cake, chocolate slice or scones with jam and cream, there is a practical, straightforward recipe that is tried and true. We all have our favourite recipes we turn to for these little treats because we know they turn out perfectly.
This little sock recipe is my favourite for my feet.
It is easy, no stress knitting. And you end up with pairfectly fitting socks.
I had always thumbed my nose at knitting socks. I really did!
Until I knitted some…
And then I knitted some more that actually fit!
It turns out I actually enjoyed knitting socks.
Who would have thunk it?
Certainly not me!
The Practically Pairfect Socks pattern is for toe up, stocking stitch socks with a gusset, turned heel and a traditional slipped stitch heel flap using the magic loop method of knitting in the round.
The beauty of knitting your socks toe up, means you can try them on as you knit and maximise your yarn usage.
The pattern is suitable for first time sock knitters and the curious knitters who want to learn how to make well fitting toe up socks, using their own measurements and just a tiny little bit of gauge based maths to enable correct gusset and heel placement.
