Where are the Tolkien lovers?
Wanna nip down to the Prancing Pony and get a pint?
The perfect socks for meeting wizards and rangers or escaping the dark forces following you.
They are knit cuff down, increasing sts and changing needle size for the colourwork to accommodate the less stretchy fabric of stranded knitting. I started with a US1 (2.25mm) needle and increased to a US1 ½ (2.5mm) for the colourwork.

The heel is a slipped stitch heel flap and the toe is grafted together with Kitchener Stitch.

Colourwork is charted for each size.

Sizes S, M, L, and XL
