The example piece was created with DK weight yarn, and measures 8 x 10 inches (not including the dowel and hanger). The size of your piece will depend on the yarn and needles you choose, as well as your tension!

After purchasing this pattern, you will be able to download a PDF file through kofi that will include a written pattern, printable chart, and a link to the pattern in stitchfiddle. The pattern assumes that you have previous knowledge on double knitting, including how to cast on, change colours, and cast off. If you want to embroider the mantis’ eyes in a third colour (optional), you will also need to know the duplicate stitch.
