Edit: So sorry I noticed in my pattern that I forgot to type in on the border, on the row of HDC’s, (only on the border) end this row with a invisible join to get a more cleaner push forward of the knit look stitch.
This blanket I created to make donations to the NICU for preemie babies. I love textured blankets that use different stitches and I love making baby blankets so I thought I would make one with different stitches for that comfy texture feel! :D This blanket made with the same yarn, the same hook size and a medium tension held, should turn out to be the size of mine, which is 18x18. If your tension is looser your blanket could turn out to be a inch or 2 larger. I do not recommend though that you crochet it to tightly due to the different stitches used, this could cause pulling and warping along the sides. You can also make this blanket larger by using the given multiple. You will need soft yarn if making for a baby, especially if you are making them for donation for preemie babies. :) You will also need your 5.5mm crochet hook, scissors and a sewing needle. The yarn I used was red heart soft and I used 2 colours, I used 2 balls, 1 of each colour. Yarn balls were 256yards each ball. So if you plan on making this blanket in just 1 colour then you may need 2 256yard balls. Well I hope you enjoy making this blanket & if you have any questions feel free to msg me. Also this pattern is my own design, please do not copy, claim it as your own, sell my pattern or distribute it on any website without my given permission. Doing so is copyright infringement.
