A colour block cowl, reminiscent of life preserving flotation devices you will find all around the harbour. This is a soothing knit, worked entirely in the round, resulting in an accessory that has no wrong side.

CONSTRUCTION
Preserving Life is a long loop cowl knit in the round. You will start with a provisional cast on, and work a long stocking stitch tube in the round, alternating colours as directed.
Once you reach the required length you will graft the 2 ends of the tube together to make a continuous loop cowl.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • kitchener stitch/grafting
  • knitting in the round
  • provisional cast on

If you are not familiar with these techniques you may need to reference a knitting guide book, or view videos on the internet.
