This cowl was designed for my eldest daughter Rayna. I wanted to make her a delicate, warm yet modern cowl. Not intending this to be a poncho. But once the design was done, it became this beautiful delicate cowl/poncho. Worked from the bottom up.

Cowl will fit all sizes from small to plus size. If wearing as a poncho. Poncho is a one size fits most.

In the pattern I explain how to make it larger for plus size. Or smaller for smaller sizing.

Prettier in pink is shown (as a poncho) in a size 44 inches around. Which is perfect for a medium/large.

I used Fiber Optic yarn gradient six pack. But you can use any gradient yarn as long as you have enough yardage. This pattern will also look lovely in a variegated hand dyed yarn as well.

This pattern is written for fingering weight yarn. For larger sizing, if you don’t want to up your needle sizing, you could use a sport or dk weight to make it wider.

This is an easy-advanced pattern.
You will need to know how to knit in the round, yarn over and decrease stitches.

Gauge is not crucial in this pattern, but it is recommended to swatch to get close to the gauge or your cowl may not fit as a poncho.
