Knitters know that you can never have too many bags! Carrying your projects in a bag that coordinates with a previous Irocknits Designs project, with the colors of your current cast on or with your favorite colors can be a fun way to carry your knitting with a little extra flair.
We get so worried about being “pretty.” Let’s be pretty kind, pretty funny, pretty smart, pretty strong. - Britt Nicole, American singer-songwriter
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a checklist pattern, each round is written out for easier tracking and checkboxes are placed for marking off upon completion– however, this makes the pattern significantly longer – check to see the pages you want to print before starting.
PATTERN NOTES: This bag is knit first as a flat bottom square in garter stitch and then picked up around to knit the sides to the drawstring double knit top casing. I highly recommend matching the weight of your yarn to the pattern yarn weight that is recommended. (For example: this pattern recommends DK weight yarn = 231 yards (211 m) per 100 grams (3.5 oz). Using a skein with significantly fewer or more yards will result in a different product.)
SAMPLE: Knit using Woolens and Nosh Squish DK in colors MC: French Press, CC1 Magenta, C2 Sugar Maple and CC3 Mango and using two colors for the top casings, weighed 89 grams using 206 total yards. (MC = 49 g & 113 yds; CC1 = 11 g & 25 yds; CC2: 11 g & 25 yds & CC3: 19 g & 44 yds)
