Pride Party is a one skein shawl that uses a contrast mini skein for a border pop.

This shawl has fun, squishy knit one below stitches and simple eyelets to create an alternating solid and open fabric with a party of ribbed stitches traveling throughout the piece.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
62 inches/158 cm along the top edge.
18 inches/46 cm along the deepest point of the shawl.

SUPPLY LIST:
Yarn:

MC: 430 yd/ 393 m of fingering weight yarn for the body
CC: 60-80 yd / m of fingering weight yarn for the border. (Approx. 15-20g of fingering weight)

Sample used: Leon Alexander Yarns Sock (85% SW Merino/15% Nylon; 430 yd/393 m per skein) in the color way “I’m Out, Therefore I Am” and a grey 20g mini skein.

Needles: One set of 24-32 inch/ 60-80 cm US size 5 / 3.75 mm circular needles.

Gauge: 6 stitches to the inch. Use a needle size that gives you a stable, but drapey fabric.

Notes: This shawl may also be worked with other weights of yarn. You can use DK/Worsted weight yarn on a US size 8-9/ 5-5.5 mm needle.
