A gentle reminder that winter doesn’t last forever and that spring is right around the corner, Primaveral (of or relating to spring) is the perfect accessory to take you from the dark gray days of winter to spring’s warm sunshine and blue skies. With its combination of unassuming texture and shifting colors, the Primaveral Cowl is as enjoyable to knit as it is to wear.

Beginning with a provisional cast on, cowl is knit flat with two strands held together; the beginning and ending rows are joined with Kitchener Stitch for a seamless piece. The textured stitch pattern is worked over a four-row repeat with I-Cord edging built in. When switching between colors, ends can be wrapped into I-Cord to avoid having to weave in later; when working fades between colors, carry yarn in I-Cord between rows.

Wear the cowl looped around twice for a cozy, breezy springtime accessory.
