About the pattern

This blouse or open vest is knitted from the bottom up and back and forth, starting with a two-colour corrugated rib. The body is entirely knitted by following a lace motif. At a certain point fronts and back are separated to be knitted one by one, making some decreases to shape the armholes and the front V-neck. Short rows are worked at the back to raise the neckline. Shoulders are closed by knitting garter stitch plackets in contrast color and joining them “sewing as you knit”. All stitches of the fronts and neck are picked up in contrast color to work an i-cord bind-off. Likwise, stitches are picked up from the armohles to work an i-cord bind off. Finally, two i-cords are worked at the front of the garment to tie them as a ribbon.

Gauge: 19 sts and 21 rows = 10 cm, measured with larger needles over lace stitch pattern, after blocking.

Sobre el patrón

Esta blusa o chaleco abierto se teje de abajo para arriba y en plano, comenzando con una pretina corrugada en dos colores. El cuerpo se teje sin costuras siguiendo un motivo calado. A la altura de las axilas, se separan los delanteros y la espalda para tejerlos por separado, trabajando disminuciones para dar forma a las sisas y al escote en V del delantero. Se trabajan vueltas cortas en la espalda para levantarla. Los hombros se cierran tejiendo tapetas en punto correteado o Santa Clara en color de contraste y uniéndolas de tal manera que “se cosen mientras se teje”. Todos los puntos de los delanteros y el cuello se levantan en color de contraste para trabajar un cierre de cordón o i-cord. Del mismo modo, se recogen puntos de los agujeros de las mangas para trabajar un cierre de cordón. Finalmente, se tejen dos cordones que se cosen en la parte delantera de la prenda para atarlos como una cinta.
