Supplies Needed
-Approx. 55-65 yds of worsted weight (size 4) cotton
-Size F 3.75 mm hook
-Classic tapering glass vase (like most floral shops use). Mine measures 7.5” (19 cm) in height and 16” (40.6 cm) in circumference at the largest portion around. The main thing you need to pay attention to is the shape of your vase. It looks better if your vase is taller and the mid portion is wide before it tapers at the neck and the base. See photo below for illustration.
-Piece of cardboard 5” wide (for fringe)
-Scissors, tape measure, tapestry needle

Gauge
Gauge is not imperative for this pattern since I will be using st multiples and giving you the math to adjust the size of the cover accordingly. If you wish to make a smaller one, simply use a smaller hook and a lighter weight yarn (like a crochet thread or DK weight).

Finished Measurements
Cover should measure approx. 4” (10 cm) from the top to tip of the point, not including the fringe. The circumference of the piece will vary based on you st counts you use and the size of your vase; however, mine measures approx. 6.5” (16.5 cm) wide when laying flat.

Pattern Notes
-The first st of every round is the same st as joining.
-I recommend running a warm flat iron (for hair) over your fringe when you have attached it to your piece and prior to cutting the bottoms. This will give it a more polished look.
