Details
Welcome Spring! It is Printemps - French for Spring - and I want to be outside in the park, enjoying the first warm sun rays while knitting! Since it still gets cold as soon as the sun vanishes, I designed these fingerless mitts to keep my wrists warm while knitting outdoors. Starting with an i-cord from which you pick up stitches, they are knit in stockinette in-the-round and briefly flat for the thumb opening. The stockinette in-the-round part is knit longer after the thumb and cast off in a rolled edge. The long part may cover your fingers to keep them toasty or you turn them around to leave your fingers ample room to move and knit. These mitts are a great, quick project and maybe exactly what your special yarn leftover was waiting for. Grab your favorite spring color and let’s get knitting!
