This is an any yarn hat, that was originally worked up in handspun spun by UK Guild of Long Draw Spinners through the Nude Ewe Conservatory. Any handspun or regular yarn will work that knits up to a gauge from 3 to 8 stitches per inch. So fingering to bulky - anything goes!

For bulky yarn you will need less than 100 yards and for fingering weight less than 200 yards. This hat will make the most of any orphan skeins or precious handspun that you want to use up. The contrast yarn can be a smidge heavier than the main color, as it will make the ridges stand out more, as shown with the brown contrast yarn here.
