Why Prongs? I couldn’t help but think of Harry’s dad and patronus, Prongs, while constructing the antler-esque cables that make up the body of the sock.

PRONGS features a classic top down construction, a gorgeous textured heel flap, and stunning cables that appear intricate, but are easy to work up.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Skills required: Knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing, cabling, and kitchener stitch.

Requires: Approximately one 100g skein / 400 yards OR LESS of sock yarn.

Sample uses: Allison Barnes sock yarn in Prairie Frost. Many thanks to Allison for providing yarn support for this project!

Like any of my patterns, you can use any sock yarn that fits your style and budget! Need help finding a suitable yarn? Check out my Tips and Tricks for yarn substitution!

This pattern contains three sizes. Finished socks will fit most teen - adult feet. Tips for adjusting your sock to accommodate a wider calf are included in the pattern. If you tend to work your cables too tightly, you might want to consider increasing your needle size slightly. Please message me if I can help with your modifications.
