The Proof Hat is a traditional beanie with graphic modern texture. The tubular double-ribbed brim flows into a motif of crisscrossing forked ribs. Channels of cartridge rib add a second layer of deep texture to create a striking unisex cap. Pair this satisfying knit with the Proof Scarf for a matched set or work up a bevy of hats to try out all the shades of Arbor or Dapple that speak to you.

We hand-selected some of our all-time favorite hat patterns by Jared from the BT archives — get all 5 patterns for the price of 4 and have all your gift knitting needs covered. Purchase the five-pattern bundle on and pay $8 less than the sum of the single patterns purchased separately. This bundle includes BT staples Lucerne, Skipp, Forge, Proof, Burnaby.

The hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown.
