NOTE
Protea is a top-down, saddle-shoulder cable sweater. First, the neckline is shaped with short rows back and forth, then the rest is worked in the following charts with increases, down to the underarm. The sleeves and body are then separated, and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Next, the sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuffs. Finally, the neck is worked to complete the garment.
The pattern features a crew neck, but you can easily customize it by adjusting the ribbing length to create a high neck or turtleneck. If you prefer a more relaxed look, you can skip the ribbing and finish the neckline with an i-cord edge. I hope you enjoy making it your own and expressing your favorite style.
