This is an intermediate level 1 crochet pattern. It is written in US terminology and uses metric measurements. This pattern is only available in English.

This pattern was designed with sport weight Hobbii Rainbow cotton 8/6 yarn in the colors: Green 084 (2 skeins), red 058 (1 skein), Almond 089 (1 skein), Vanilla 052 (1 skein), Light Turquoise 034 (1 skein), Light Brown 006 (1 skein), Egg Yolk 090 (1 skein), White 001 (1 skein), and Black 009 (1 skein). Exact amounts are provided in the pattern. A 3.25mm (D/3) crochet hook, 38g of stuffing and 8mm safety eyes are also necessary for this doll. The average sizes of the dolls are listed below:
Puerto Rican Amazon: 17cm tall with a 25cm wingspan. The body is about 5cm wide.
Coqui: 3.5cm long and 2cm wide.
Flor de Maga: 12cm across the petals and 10cm long from top to bottom.

Although this is an intermediate pattern, I have provided many detailed pictures and instructions to help guide you throughout the pattern. Note: You may have to zoom in on some pictures.

You should be familiar with the following stitches and skills for this pattern: chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip knots, slip stitch, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease, half double crochet increase, fasting off, making a magic ring, working in the round (spiral), making a chain, working into a foundation chain, able to keep track of your stitches, able to keep track of your rows, counting rows, invisible single crochet decrease, use of a whip stitch for sewing pieces together, able to identify between the front and back loops of a crochet stitch, able to identify right and wrong sides of pieces, working into stitches and loops on the wrong side of a piece, maintaining the orientation of pieces as they are being worked into, joining different colored yarn onto a separate piece, and using stitch markers to identify stitches. Due to the size of the coqui, the eyes are embroidered on using French knots. Detailed instructions on how to make the French knots are provided in the patter. However, you can also use felt to glue or needle felt them on. Small bead can also be sewn on in place of French knots or felt.
