Puff Stitch Newsboy Cap by Mary Jane Hall

Puff Stitch Newsboy Cap

This pattern is available for free.

This is a free pattern that was published in the Sept 05’ issue of Fifth Avenue magazine.

This Newsboy Cap is easy to make. It has an interesting textured “Puff Stitch” pattern. The link to the pattern (at Fifth Avenue Magazine) has steps with photos that make it very easy to follow.

This pattern for the purple “Puff Stitch” Newsboy cap is different from the pink newsboy cap that’s in my book, Positively Crochet.

If you decide to make this cap, I’d love to see your photos. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Note I noticed that some people who made the hat said it was a little smaller than they wanted it to be. If you use the same size yarn (# 4), and same hook size, and follow my gauge, your hat will turn out like my original one in the photo. It fits my daughter who is in her 30’s as well as teenagers. My 11 yr old granddaughter looks good in this hat too. If you want your hat to be bigger, I do have instructions for a larger hat at this link. I guess people are missing that.
