Introduction
The Pulse Tee is meant to serve as your moisture wicking, athleisure summer top. This tee is both relaxed, but also utilizes a side rib detail that pinches in at the waist and all the right places. All rib hem edges are finished with 2x2 ribbing and attention to detail. The Pulse Tee is a drop shoulder construction and knitted from the top down. Shoulder and neck shaping is a priority to ensure a nice drape. Starting on the back yoke, you’ll first work the back panel and raise the back neck edge with Japanese Short Rows in this high stitch definition cotton yarn. Stitches will then be picked up on each side for the front yoke, working Japanese Short Rows followed by neck shaping. After joining the front panels, the “V” detail will be worked. Following joining in the round, the expanding and contracting side rib hem detail will be worked on the body. The stitches for the arms will be picked up, and the side rib detail from the body will extend into the underarm, reducing bulk in the sleeves. Lastly, the generously shaped neckline is finished off by working a 2x2 rib stitch.
Techniques
Long tail cast-on, Japanese short rows, increasing, picking up stitches, knitting flat, cabling, knitted cast-on, knitting in the round, holding stitches, Tubular bind-off, blocking (wet, steam, or other).

If you have questions regarding yarn substitutions, I recommend visiting the ‘Yarn Weight Calculator’ at ‘Github’ (link available in the “Pattern Support”). Kindly ensure you can meet the gauge before proceeding.
Needle Size

Optional: double pointed needles in the same sizes for working the arms, if working magic loop is not desired.
Notions

Size Guide
Note: If you’re not accustomed to working with cotton, consider sizing down if you’re between sizes. Your swatch may not reflect the overall weight of your garment in a high density, plant based fiber, and may grow more than anticipated. If you would like a fitted tee, consider aiming for 5 cm (2 inches) of positive ease. If you prefer a boxier fit, size up. In the above photo, 5 cm (2 inches) is shown.
The Pulse Tee is designed to have 5-15 cm (2-6 inches) of positive ease at the bust, meaning it is meant to be 5-15 cm (2-6 inches) larger than your bust circumference. I recommend taking your bust circumference and armhole depth into consideration to find the best size for you. The sizes XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL), 3XL, (4XL), 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 70 (80) 90 (100) 110 (120) 130 (140) 150 cm 28 (32) 36 (40) 44 (48) 52 (56) 60 inches. The finished tee measures 82 (92.5) 100 (111.5) 122.5 (130) 140.5 (152) 163 cm 32.75 (37) 40 (44.5) 49 (52) 56.25 (60.75) 65.25 inches. The body length will be adjustable.
Before starting, please kindly measure the largest part of your bust and determine how much ease you prefer to determine your best size. For example, if your bust circumference is 90 cm (36 inches), you should knit a size M unless you prefer a closer or looser fit. Size M has a bust circumference of 100 cm (40 inches) which would give you 10 cm (4 inches) of positive ease.
