The Pumpkin Drawstring Backpack is an easy level crochet pattern. The techniques you will need to know are the chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. Parts of this drawstring backpack are created by holding two strands of yarn throughout the entire project.

Do you remember going Trick-or-Treating and using pillow cases to collect MOUNDS of candy? Personally, I remember that by the end of the night I would get tired of holding my pillow case in front of me so I would swing it over my shoulder and carry it like a giant bindle (minus the stick)

When my son started trick-or-treating, this is exactly what I thought of so I created a little solution. I thought it would be fun to make a drawstring Trick-or-Treat bag with handles that could be used as a backpack or just to throw over one shoulder.

Although this bag was created with trick-or-treating in mind, it of course would be perfect as a bag in general!
