GAUGE
The gauge for the cowl neck differs from the main gauge. Be sure to check both to confirm you are using the correct hook sizes for your tension. In the sample, a 4 mm hook was used throughout, but you may need two different hooks depending on your tension.

Body and sleeves:

• 16 sts x 14.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) (lemon peel stitch)

For swatch:

• Ch 25.
• Row 1: Dc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, dc in next ch, sc in next ch; repeat from to the end of the row. (24)
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in next sc, sc in next dc; repeat from to the end of the row. (24)
• Repeat Row 2 until your swatch measures about 5 in (13 cm) high. For accuracy, measure only the center 4 in (10 cm) of the swatch — avoid the first and last rows and the edge sts.

Cowl neck ribbing:
