Make three iconic Halloween decorations from one basic pumpkin shape: a friendly witch, a black cat, and a wacky jack-o-lantern.

Materials:

Yarn – Worsted wt. ball ends of the various colors shown. The pumpkin shapes take about 75 yards each. The witches hat takes about 100 yds. You’ll need 2 to 5 yards of each accent color.

Needles – Suitable needles for knitting in the round, US size 6 (4.5 mm), or size needed to create a firm fabric that will not expose stuffing when stuffed.

Other – Tapestry needle; poly-fil stuffing

Gauge: These pumpkins can be made with any weight yarn. Gauge is less important than the qualities of the fabric. Fabric should be firm and close-knit enough that stuffing will not show through gaps when stuffed. Begin swatching with needles 2 to 3 sizes smaller than those recommended for the yarn chosen.
