This heavily cabled scarf calls for any smooth worsted weight yarn. For the pattern you’ll need a working knowledge of cables, ribbing, moss stitch/seed stitch. Both written and charted instructions are included. You’ll need about 480 yards of yarn (more or less depending on how long you want your scarf to be.) For the orange version I used Spud and Chloe Sweater in the colorway Cider, for the yellow I used KnitPicks Snuggle Puff in the colorway Chick.
