This is a unique, fair isle effect crochet sweater for children aged 1-10 years. It uses dk weight yarn, and features a special stitch, the pumpkin stitch, which is my own invention. The stitch is much quicker than embroidering all the pumpkins.

Suggested hook size: 4 mm, 3.5 mm for some of the ribbing

Yarn weight: dk/8-ply/light worsted.

Suggested yarn: any warm, soft yarn that meets gauge.
I used Yarnsmiths Create dk for my samples.

Also needed:
Tapestry needle, embroidery scissors for sewing in ends.

Sizes available:
1-2y(2-4y/4-6y/6-8y)8-10y
To fit chest size up to:
52(58/64/69)75 cm

Gauge: 17 stitches and 12 rows of hdc worked in the round

Yardage (will vary slightly according to yarn used):
Total yardage = 500(550/610/650)705 m or 550(610/680(710)790 yards
This is split between several colours. The main colour will use about ⅔ of the yardage.
