The windows along the street come alive with a burnt orange glow. The faces of cats and jacks and abstract snarls flicker when each houses pumpkin lantern is lit with a single tealight. Some adorning the porches too. All are celebrating the chill air and warm fire of October.

I love Pumpkins, the bright orange brings a pop of colour to winter evenings and rainy days, these socks are worked top down, the pattern is fun and engaging. Instructions for a heel flap and gusset and modified wedge toe. The Pumpkin stitch pattern is worked on the front of the sock only and is written and charted.
