A Hirst

Needles and Notions
Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences
Gauge-size double pointed needles for working fingers
Long gauge-size circular needle for holding finger stitches
Waste yarn (for thumb placement)
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle

Pattern Notes
These fingerless gloves are cast on, and a cuff is worked in a stranded 1x1 rib pattern. After increasing stitches and beginning to work from chart, a placeholder of waste yarn is inserted into the fabric of the palm for the afterthought thumb.After finishing the hand, each of the four fingers and the thumb are worked separately in rib pattern.
