If purling doesn’t scare you then this pattern is for you!
It’s indeed a purled spiral links stitch pattern, I called “Chiocciola” because of its shape, that features this extended wings triangle shawl.
Construction notes
Involving just few basic techniques to be considered suitable even for an adventurous beginner, the stitch pattern develops on a multiple of three stitches and repeats itself every six rows therefore very easy to memorize.
The shawl is worked from the top down starting form an I-cord tab with provisional cast on.
The 3 stitches I-cord runs along the top edge while the bind off is realized using a decorative simplified version of the stitch pattern.
The shawl is easily adjustable in measures and perfectly reversible.
The yarn I used to realise it is very elastic and soft, two qualities that perfectly complement the shawl’s decorative pattern and shape, contributing to its overall success.
