Purl’s Cowl is an elegant and understated winter staple. Shaped like an inverted funnel, and draping gracefully over the collar bones, Purl’s Cowl is one-size-fits-most.

It’s designed for a heavy worsted to bulky yarn. The basic cowl requires approximately 300 yards of yarn. Adding bobbles and the crocheted braid (tassels) takes an additional 150 yards.

Gauge will vary based on your choice of yarn. The pattern uses 24” circular needles. The needle size (like the gauge) will depend on your yarn.
