This is a pattern for a lightweight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It is made up of lace stitch that is a true lace, quite open in parts, and very dimensional in other parts of the stitch. The lace stitch, which is one of the lessor known ones, is both written out line by line, and charted. The final size is 21 inches by 72 inches. There are instructions contained within the pattern for making it more dimensional, and increasing the size, should you want to. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Fiesta’s Baby Boom in the colorway, Purple Passion. A heavy fingering weight yarn or light sport weight yarn could be substituted.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Deb Terrio, who can be contacted at: jstdt3t@yahoo.com, and who is known on Ravelry as, jstdt3t.
