This cardigan is named after Pyry, heavy snowfall in Finnish. It is a simple top-down cardigan with stripe detail and warm double-folded collar. Top-down construction enables the size adjustments easily, if needed. You can make the cardigan with buttonholes or with zipper, both instructions are given.


Sizing:
1 (2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8) year old.
Cardigan is designed to have about 1-2” / 2.5-5 cm of positive ease, finished garment measurements are approx. 22 (24, 26, 27, 29)“, 57 (61, 65, 69, 73) cm of chest circumference.


21 sts and 26 rows = 4” 10 cm in Stockinette stitch. Gauge is measured from soaked and blocked swatch.

Schachenmayr cmc/nomotta Extra Merino Premium (100% Merino Wool) approx. 3(3,4,4,5) skeins (50 g approx. 142 yds/130m per skein) of color A (brown), 1 skein/approx. 72 yds/65 m color B (petrol blue), 1 skein/approx. 72 yds/65 m color C (orange).

Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) 32”/80 cm circular needle.
US (3,5 mm) 32”/ 80 cm circular needle.
Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge.

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, stitch holders/waste yarn, buttons/zipper (take the zipper measure from the finished cardigan).
