Malabrigo Lace knits into a rectangular scarf that is warm, light and super soft, perfect for travel knitting and wearing. The lace pattern forms geometric ridges down the length of the scarf creating a look suitable for men or women.

This makes quite a wide scarf at 16” if you like something narrower and longer, cast on 32-48 stitches less.
The size is perfect to use as a baby receiving or christening shawl that can then be used by the adults in the family, a godparent gift or kept until the child is older to use as a scarf.

If you are a tight knitter you may prefer to use a 3mm or US 3 needle.

Two skeins of Malabrigo Lace are all you need, the whole scarf weighs less than 100g! Be sure to get the same dye lot or you could go bold with stripes or colour blocks.

Try a Double-Needle Cast-On as described in The Principles Of Knitting by June Hemmons Hiatt and a decrease bind off in purl; P2tog, slip new stitch to left needle; repeat from to end
