This is my third pattern for dibadu’s gorgeous “Maschenmaler” - again a piece of mathematics.
The shawl is built of single triangles, knitted one by one, based on the so called Pythagoras snail, a geometrical figure which enables construction of line segments showing square root lengths.

Don’t be afraid, you don’t have to do any maths by yourself, just knit a colorful, modular, excentric - and even a bit eccentric shawl!

It is made in a simple slip stitch pattern and garter stitch, framed by I-cord edgings. You can choose between a big cape-like and a smaller shoulderette version.

Depending on the extraordinary range of colors it will be an eye-catcher in any case. We recommend: go for contrast in your color choice!
