A great project for beginners! Adjustable cowl in 5 row by 5 row Quaker Rib with buttonhole on one end and the buttons attached to the side edges of the reserve stockinette welts on the other end. The cowl can be buttoned on the lowest buttons for a loose fit, the higher buttons for a tighter fit or just the end button for an open neckline. It is also cute if worn with a half twist on the side. I keep it folded and slip over my head, then adjust as needed. I love the small cowl size, as it fits into my purse when not in use. For a narrower cowl, simply cast on fewer stitches.
