THE QUANTUM SHAWL is knitted in two-color brioche rib with triangular sections of garter stitch for a modern geometric look. Choose two colors with high contrast (ie one light, one dark) for best results and more visible triangles.

Gauge
20 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm in garter stitch, knitted flat, after blocking.

Yarn
Yama Fibre Arts Merino Linen (10% linen, 90% South African Merino 360 m / 394 yards per 100g), shown in colorways Ferrocin as DC and Champagne Blush as LC, 3 skeins of each, or similar fingering weight yarns in 2 colors preferably with high contrast, 1000 m / 1100 yards of each color (total 2000 m / 2200 yards).

Needles
4.0 mm / US6 circular needles with a cable of at least 60 cm / 24” or according to gauge. Always use the needle size that gets you the right gauge. This pattern can be worked in different gauges, however change in the gauge will affect the size of the final shawl as well as the amount of yarn needed to finish it.
