Quarter Note is an asymmetrical boomerang shawl that uses a simple repeat with worsted weight yarn on a large needle. Quarter notes are a Musician’s version of Worsted weight yarn everybody uses them ;).

Supplies:
One variegated skein of yarn AND one contrasting solid or semi solid see note. This sample is show in a Silent Knits OOAK color and Malabrigo’s Purple Magic. Each contains approximately 210-220 yards per 100 grams of worsted weight yarn.

One US size 10 needle circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge or a fabric that makes you happy!

Gauge after blocking is 12 stitches by 18 rows in garter after blocking per 4 inches or 10 cm.
(THIS IS SO NOT IMPORTANT but will effect size!)

Stitches needed:
Knit (K) Knit thru the backloop (KTBL)
Yarn Over (YO) knit two together (K2tog)
Knit front and Back (KFB)

Sample show is 16” deep in widest point and 11 feet long along longest edge.
