This is the third in a series of mittens using designs inspired by flowers, both wild and domesticated. Generously sized, with a thumb gusset thumb and a wide cuff, Queen Anne’s Lace can be worked to fit many hand sizes and can even be used as a second layer over gloves. Worked in the round in two colors, from charts, duplicate stitching and added beads provide a little flash.

Recommended yarn brands are Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift or Elemental Affects.

This mitten uses 2 skeins of Jamieson’s #162, “Neptune”
2 skeins of #104 “Natural, about 20 yards of #365, “Chartreuse”, and about 10 yards each of black, dark red, and yellow fingering weight yarns.

If you wish to bead as suggested, get 72 size 8/0 red seed beads, matching thread, and a beading needle.
