The Queen City Shorties were designed and inspired by The QC, Charlotte NC. When I was a kid we moved to NC from FL because my pop said “it has a beautiful skyline” The lace in this pattern looks more intricate and detailed than it really is, yet it is feminine and delicate. In a way it resembles a crown, at least to me, which is where the name came from.

Construction:
Knit cuff down using the Provisional Cast On method with a peasant heel. The toe is stitched together using The Kitchener Stitch. There are video links within the pattern to help with your cast on and how to work the heel.

Sizing:
The pattern is written for Small, Medium and Large, but is easy enough to adjust for smaller or larger foot sizes.

This pattern is written in US standard terms using the magic loop method, yet you can knit whichever way you feel most comfortable, but other methods will not be written in the pattern.

I would say the pattern is intermediate level, due to the cast on method and heel.
