Queen of the Prairie Shawl was designed to sit nicely on the shoulders and will add a sparkly, springy flair to our souls.
The shawl is crescent shaped, knitted top down, and includes delicate cables and beads. The beads are placed after working the stitches as indicated in the chart.
Gauge is not critical for the shawl though needle size, bead size and yardage requirements will vary.
Beads needed for the shawl:
Green beads: Miyuki metallic seed beads, 8/0, col. 453, 528 beads.
Pink beads: Gutermann seed beads, 9/0, col. 4845, 329 beads.
The shawl was designed and knitted during the COVID-19 quarantine and the beads used for the design were what was left in stock. Be advised- use beads size 8/0 of your choice rather than 9/0, to ease the bead’ placement onto stitches.
