It’s Colorado and the snow is falling in October! Great inspiration for a white woolly scarf. I’ve used a simpler version of the Fisherman’s Rib called the Half Fisherman’s Rib. It’s thick and quick to knit!
You set up the pattern with a simple rib stitch, then start with one row of the Fisherman’s Stitch. The next row you do a simple rib again. Very simple to do and learn for a beginner.
You can adjust the length to what works for you. A short scarf for a manly simple wrap, a longer one for that perfect length for you, or very very long to wrap around many times.
Versatile, simple, quick! Sure to make wonderful holiday gifts or warm your own neck.
I did the scarf in Lion’s Wool-Ease Thick & Quick because the white yarn was calling to me and also that’s what I had. It’d be lovely to see this done in some beautiful soft wool yarn. Please share your creations in the project section.
I also have a Cowls, Scarves and Hats for Asylum Seekers KAL started November 1st in the Ravelry Resistance Knitters group. Please come on by and join us. https://www.ravelry.com/groups/browse/show/ravelry-resist...
