Quick and Easy Knit Foot Warmer Slippers
These are very easy to stitch up. If you are a beginning knitter this is a great pattern for you. There are not allot of stitches used and they are knit up flat with single point needles then seamed up (the slipper is all one piece then sewn up the back and bottom). Very easy.
This pattern includes three sizes. The small will fit women’s size 5-6, the medium will fit women’s size 7-8 (it can fit 9 but stretches out a bit), and large fits women’s size 9-11 (men’s 9-10). I am working on bigger for men (just to get a better fit) and smaller for kids. I will hopefully have those later in the summer.
I knit up a swatch because I got a couple of people asking if I had, here is what I got..
Size 6 needles: 5 ribbing stitches = 1 inch; 7 ribbing rows = 1 inch
Size 9 needles: 13 knit stitches = 3 inches; 17 knit rows = 2 inches
Here are the stitches used to knit these up…
K = Knit
P = Purl
K2TOG = Knit 2 Together; knit the next two stitches together as one
SKP = slip-knit-pass; slip 1 stitch knit wise, knit next stitch, pass slipped stitch over knitted stitch and off needle.
