Quiet Current Cardigan is a richly textured, relaxed cardigan that brings together intricate cables and quieter fields of basket-like texture. Slender cables frame the front bands and travel along the sleeves, while broader interlacing motifs accent the shoulders and fronts. The back becomes the focal point, with an expansive cable panel that grows into an elaborate, almost woven composition across the upper back.

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, with the fronts and back worked together to the underarms before being divided and completed separately. The shoulders are joined with a 3-Needle Bind Off, and stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round to the cuffs. An integrated I-cord gives the button bands a neat, polished edge, while the simple ribbed collar and hem provide a clean frame for the elaborate textures.

With its comfortable silhouette and combination of engaging cable work and more restful textured sections, Quiet Current is designed to be as satisfying to knit as it is easy to wear.
