When I set out to design this piece, the only clear vision I had was a feather stitch that would grow into a shawl – one way or another. My original concept of a simple triangle with lace and texture transformed into a completely new shawl shape that is extremely versatile and wearable.

Finished Measurements (approx. after blocking) 62” long side, 51” down center, 42 ½” at widest point.

Yarn Northbound Knitting, Merino/Silk DK 50% Merino, 50% Silk 230 yd; 100 gram hank: Color Rosewood (CC), 2 hanks, Parchment (MC), 3 hanks; 1150 yards

Needles US 6 (4 mm) 32” circular (cir) Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); cable needle (CN); tapestry needle

Gauge 18 sts and 28 rows = 4” in St on US6 (4 mm) needles

This shawl is worked from the wide end and decreases to a point.
