The Quilt Block Socks stemmed from my desire to wear quilt-inspired items as much as humanly possible. Quilt blocks come from the genius of the women who have come before us, and I’m going to go ahead and celebrate their brilliance whenever I get the chance.

I also wanted something easy (but pretty) to knit. Let me tell you, and I am not exaggerating, these just may be the easiest socks you ever knit. Are they still gorgeous? Of course. Do they fit well? Obviously. But this is one of the least complicated ways to knit a sock, and I for one, am never going back to turning a heel.

I hope you enjoy this one as much as I have. And then I hope you enjoy it again, and again, and again. Because these socks have a permanent place on my needles!

The Quilt Block Socks are knit from the cuff-down in magic loop (though you are free to knit them in any way you desire).

I’ve included 6 sizes from toddler to men’s large, so everyone in the family can rock some cute socks! There are also 6 different charts so you can keep things interesting every time you knit a pair!

Since these are worked with a forethought/afterthought heel (I have videos to support these techniques - don’t be nervous!!), you could absolutely work these from the toe up if you’d like to put your sock down, flip it, and reverse it.

Mix and match any of the 6 charts however your brilliant and creative brain desires, or simply copy mine! Brilliant and creative brains need a break sometimes. <3
