I love all the knit & crochet patterns lately that feature classic quilt blocks. This project is my interpretation of a quilt block being used as the center square of a wrap.

Start with 4 colors, 2 pairings of 2 colors each. This wrap works really well with two light & two dark complimentary color combos. We make solid half-and-half granny squares (like a half square triangle for you quilters) and seam them together. The “block” of granny squares is then turned on point and chevron stripes are added.

This project offers a lot of opportunity to make it your own. There are so many ways to combine the granny squares. The stripe possibilities are really endless too.

Includes both written and charted instructions.
