My holiday gift to you, the Ravelry community who has made my knitting life so much richer by connecting me to new friends near and far and a wealth of patterns and information about my craft. Here are my quintessential gloves, they have a delightful tipsy cable and lace pattern. They are extra long, to provide as much warmth as possible while maintaining the convenience of fingertip access. I knit them in a gorgeous Hazel Knits lively DK, in Hoppy Blonde which has a depth of color combined with fantastic stitch definition to show off those cables.

I was able to knit a pair for myself as well as a pair for my daughter from a single skein, and I still have some left over. According to my scale there was 127g in this skein, a bargain! If you have bigger hands, a simple gauge adjustment is explained in the pattern which will give you some roomier gloves, though additional yarn would possibly be needed.

Women’s gloves- 160 yds used
Children’s gloves - 90 yds used
